CAREY INTERNATIONAL APPOINTS NEW EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS
WASHINGTON, D.C., October 28, 2004:
Carey International, Inc. today announced the promotion of Gary L. Kessler to Executive Vice President of Operations. Mr. Kessler will be responsible for Reservations, Customer Care, Franchises and Affiliates, Meetings & Events, System Standards, Quality Assurance and Legal. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer of the company. Mr. Kessler holds a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.

Mr. Murphy continued, "Gary is well qualified to lead our operating activities at Carey International. He has successfully managed central reservations, customer service, legal affairs and our acquisition program. He was instrumental in improving service in our Call Center by reorganizing reservations, benchmarking service levels, applying new technologies and hiring new management."
